I have more than 15 years experience working with Microsoft Windows, MAC's and Linux Operating Systems. I have a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems along with several other ICT certificates. In practice this means I am able to deal with a wide range of hardware and software issues on personal computers, whether the operating system is by Microsoft, a Linux distribution or an Apple MAC. I have knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, as well as Debian Linux, Ubuntu Linux, Mandriva Linux, and MAC OS X, 10.6

Call Out

Some PC issues can only be resolved on site. An obvious example of this is a Network which usually needs to be setup where the equipment is located. I make site and home visits throughout Oxfordshire, charging a call out fee of £25 within the City of Oxford. Visits to sites beyond Oxford City are charged an additional £1.00 per mile (the round trip). This fee can be waived if you are not well off, ie; on certain Benefits, have a low income or if you are a pensioner. The hourly rate is £35 per hour or part hour.

PC and Laptop Repairs

Some issues can be resolved quickly but others can take a while longer to sort out. In these cases, it may be better to bring the problem equipment to OPCS CIC. This way it can be repaired for a fixed fee according to our scale of charges, rather than being subjected to the hourly rate applied to site and home visits.
