Community Arts Organisation

An Apology

Unfortunately my web server, which normally sits fairly quietly in my living room hosting a wide variety of audio visual works; is having a lie down. Consequently the web content you see available today is but a shadow of what was accessible a week ago. It is my intention to restore a normal service ASAP.

CrackpotsCAO

Crackpots Community Arts Organisation was formed in Cardiff in about 1984, shortly after I had been thrown out of Art College, where I had been studying Ceramics. I joined forces with Christine Barker and Ellen Heeney on several ceramics projects - working with children and young unemployed people as well as adults with learning disabilities. Small start up grants were received from The Princes Trust and the Julien Melchett Foundation which allowed us to provide a mobile clay facility which conducted public demonstrations and held workshops in Cardiff at Arts Weeks and during school summer holidays. Crackpots also ran workshops at Glastonbury and other Festivals during this phase. See the History page.

Please browse; when normal service is resumed: you will find more recent creative out pourings in film, photography, digital media and examples of the more traditional plastic arts. Not everything on this site was created by me. There is also music and film made by others, freely available to download for use at your leisure. Enjoy.
